Hands For Heroes Provides Vets With Free Massages, Pampering On Veterans Day

NEW YORK (WLNY) – Veterans across our area are getting some much needed pampering on Monday.
New York College of Health Professions, is partnering with Hands For Heroes to offer free massage treatments to veterans at its Syosset, Long Island clinic and at their Massage Clinic at the NY Open Center in Manhattan.

Meanwhile, the nation’s largest Veterans Day parade steps at Fifth Avenue and 26th Street.
The U.S.S. New York is also in the Big Apple for this year’s Veterans Week.
The amphibious transport ship was named for the victims, families and first responders of the Sept. 11th attacks and has 7.5 tons of steel from the World Trade Center in her bow.
The ship, which transports sailors, Marines and helicopters will be open to the public for tours from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday.
