Manning Tells Francesa: 'We Knew We Could Turn It Around And Play Better'

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Eli Manning joined WFAN host Mike Francesa on Monday evening following the Giants' 24-20 victory over the Raiders on Sunday.

Manning praised now-healthy running back Andre Brown for giving the Giants a huge boost on Sunday. Brown ran for 115 yards against the Raiders and scored the go-ahead touchdown for Big Blue.

"He definitely gave us a spark and ran the ball hard," Manning said.

Manning is confident in the Giants' playoff chances. The Giants are now just 1 and 1/2 games behind the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East standings.

"We feel if we take care of our business -- if we win these games, we'll be in a good spot to make the playoffs," Manning said.

The Giants began the season in an 0-6 hole. Right now, it looks like the 3-6 Giants are climbing in the right direction.

"We knew we could turn it around, and could play better," Manning told Francesa.

The Packers are next to visit the Giants on November 17. Green Bay is without star quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who suffered a fractured collarbone against the Chicago Bears on November 4.
