NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) — Five of the bikers who were allegedly involved in a September 29, road rage incident appeared in court on Wednesday.

Reginald Chance, Christopher Cruz, Jason Brown, Robert Sims, and Craig Wright were arraigned on gang assault charges, CBS 2’s John Slattery reported.

The men have been accused of taking part in an attack on a man behind the wheel of a Range Rover. The windows of the vehicle were broken and the man was beaten.

Robert Sims has been accused of stomping on the driver after he was pulled from the vehicle.

“This is news to me. This is the very first time that they’ve advised us of what our alleged participation is,” Sims’ attorney Luther Williams said.
