Performers Line Up For A Chance To Be Seen On 'America's Got Talent'

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- Crowds gathered on the West Side on Saturday, waiting for a chance to try out for the reality competition America's Got Talent.

1010 WINS reporter Gary Baumgarten didn't run into any of the death-defying acts that the show has been known for but he did meet a local dancer.

"I got a lot of talent but my main talent is dancing to EDM, electronic dance music, a little freestyle, got a lot of foot work and everything," Chris said.

Auditions were scheduled to run from 8 a.m. through 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Judges Heidi Klum, Howard Stern, and Mel B were not present for the auditions.

The show is entering its ninth season.
