Cops Investigate Sex Assault Allegation In Central Park
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police spent Sunday investigating an allegation of sexual assault in Central Park.
On Sunday evening, authorities were still questioning a woman who says she was attacked in the park near East 99th Street and Fifth Avenue, CBS 2 reported.
Crime scene investigators in white jumpsuits combed the area all day looking for evidence.
Sources told CBS 2 that a 28-year-old woman was seen walking with a man into the park. She claims he asked her for directions, took her into the park and assaulted her.
Police have not released any information on the suspect.
