Man Struck, Killed In Williamsburg Hit-And-Run

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man was struck and killed by a vehicle in a hit-and-run in Williamsburg, Brooklyn early Monday.

Shortly before 4 a.m. Monday, police responded to a 911 call of a man struck by a vehicle on Meeker Avenue between Frost Street and Manhattan Avenue in Brooklyn, police said.

Responding officers found the 32-year-old man lying in the street with head trauma, police said.

Paramedics took the man to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Police determined that the man was struck by a vehicle that sped off afterward.

There were no arrests as of Monday night, and no description of the vehicle was available.

The man's identity had not been released as of late Monday.
