Cops Seek Suspect In Series Of Livery Cab Robberies

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD has asked the public for help in identifying a man wanted in connection with a series of livery cab robberies in Upper Manhattan and the Bronx.

On Saturday, November 16, at 3:45 a.m. the suspect entered a cab near West Fordham Road and Loring Place. When the cab arrived at the suspect's requested location he brandished a firearm and removed the victim's cell phone, car keys, and $125.

On Tuesday, November 19, at 3 a.m. a 47-year-old black male picked the suspect up at West 131 Street and 7th Ave. The armed suspect demanded a ride to West 141 Street and Chisum Place. En route to his destination the suspect demanded money from the victim.

Two incidents were reported on Sunday, November 24. In both incidents the suspect entered cabs on West 142nd Street and removed cash, a cell phone, and keys from the driver.

The most recent incident occurred on Tuesday, November 26. The suspect entered a cab near 132nd Street and 5th Ave and proceeded to relieve the driver of $120 and his car keys.

The suspect has been described as a black male, he is approximately 6'1".
