Police Investigate Fatal Shooting In Queens
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are investigating the death of a woman who was found shot in her Queens apartment early Tuesday morning.
Police found the 29-year-old woman unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head inside her apartment on 52nd Avenue in Elmhurst around 1:50 a.m.
The woman was pronounced dead at Elmhurst Hospital a short time later.
Investigators told CBS 2 a child was also found in the apartment, but was not hurt.
No arrests have been made.
Police are searching for the woman's live-in boyfriend as a person of interest, CBS 2 reported.
The victim's name has not been released, pending the family's notification.
