N.J. Mother Accused Of Throwing Teen Party Appears In Court

CEDAR GROVE, N.J.(CBSNewYork) -- A New Jersey mother who has been accused of allowing teenagers to have a party with alcohol and drugs has pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct.

Susan Cuffari claims that a November 16, party at her Cedar Grove home started as a simple pizza party for her daughter and 25 of her friends.

Word got out about the gathering and some hundred teenagers showed up.

Two highly intoxicated teens were rushed to a local hospital, police said.

Cuffari called the incident a wake-up call for her and other parents.

"I hope it's a lesson to all parents across the nation that young people do consume alcohol and if you're going to have a party make sure it doesn't get on social media," she said.

Cuffari will return to court on December 11.
