4 Families Forced From Homes After Thanksgiving Evening Fire
JERSEY CITY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — A Thanksgiving fire forced some Jersey City residents from their home.
It all started around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday on the first floor of 308 Winfield Avenue.
A police officer who lives at the location smelled smoke when he came home from work. The fire quickly grew and spread to the neighboring house.
Four families were forced out of their homes. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
