Jerry Recco's Monday-Morning Update

It's Monday morning, so after feverishly preparing his sports update, Jerry Recco entered the Allstate Studio to deliver it to the masses.

Jerry began with the Giants, who got four sacks from Justin Tuck in their 24-17 win over the Redskins -- which made Tom Coughlin happy.  But with a record of 5-7, the playoffs are not likely in Big Blue's future, in turn making the head coach unhappy.  The Giants travel west to take on the Chargers in San Diego next week.

Then we have the Jets, who dropped to 5-7 in their touchdown-less "effort" against the Dolphins. Geno Smith was benched in the 23-3 loss, and things have gone from bad to worse for Gang Green with the Raiders coming to town next week.

Plus, Peyton Manning throws five more TD passes in a Broncos win. Nick Foles has thrown 19 TDs and no interceptions for the Eagles, and Jerry provides the rest of the Week 13 final scores. The Knicks fall to the Pelicans, 103-99, and have now lost nine in a row. Knicks-Nets will take place in Brooklyn on Wednesday night, there was an epic finish to Saturday's Alabama-Auburn game which will be talked about for years to come, and there was a local feel-good story as the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights followed up their win over Rutgers with a victory over Seton Hall...
