Regardless of what the weekend may throw on your plate, you can always count on the Dynamic Radio Duo of Boomer & Carton to cheer you up -- at the same time helping you to gain a healthy perspective first thing Monday morning, which was the case today.
The Jets were throttled by the Dolphins at MetLife Stadium by a score of 23-3, Geno Smith got benched and the Jets are now 5-7. Despite all of that, Craig believes Rex Ryan deserves a contract extension. Boomer agreed that the Jets' head coach has done an admirable job with the pieces he's been given.
The Giants got off to a "Jets-like start" against the Redskins but still managed to eek out a 24-17 win. Even with the victory, like their AFC counterpart -- the aforementioned Jets -- Big Blue has a record of 5-7 and is all but out of any playoff conversation.
When you combine all of that with the struggles of the Knicks -- who lost their ninth straight game last night (103-99 to the Pelicans) -- the Nets and their five wins as well as the Mets' countless blunders, lets just say it's a good thing Boomer & Craig do what they do...
