Deer Get Stuck In House Foundation On Long Island

EAST ISLIP, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Two deer got stuck in the foundation for a house under construction on Long Island Wednesday.

The Suffolk County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and the Town of Islip were working to rescue the deer from the construction site on Old Meadow Farm Road in East Islip, the SPCA said.

The deer were stuck in a 10-foot deep house foundation, and were trapped under a construction bar.

The trapped deer were a seven-point buck and a doe, officials said.
