Police: Suspect Sought In Theft Of $995 Puppy From L.I. Store
LYNBROOK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — Police on Long Island are searching for a suspect who they said stole a puppy from a Lynbrook pet store.
Police released a surveillance photo Wednesday of the suspect wanted in connection with the incident. It happened back on Sept. 29 at Shake-A-Paw on Atlantic Avenue.
A man was seen taking an 8-week-old cream-colored Maltese poodle and leaving the store without paying, police said. The puppy is valued at $995.
There is a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
