Police Investigating Possible SantaCon Brawl In Manhattan

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- New York City police are looking into a brawl caught on video of a group of men dressed in Santa suits.

The video titled "Santapocolypse NYC 2013" was posted on YouTube on Saturday, the same day as the annual pub crawl known as SantaCon.

The video shows the Santas throwing punches at each other at Third Avenue between 16th and 17th Streets Saturday evening.

The NYPD said the men had dispersed by the time officers responded to the scene and no one filed a complaint of an assault at the location.

Police said it wasn't clear if the group had been participating in SantaCon.

SantaCon started Saturday morning in Tompkins Square Park in the East Village. Thousands of red-suited revelers then spread out through the city's bars and snowy streets.

The event has been criticized by some for being too rowdy.

The NYPD reported no actual SantaCon-related arrests this year although police did issue eight summonses for open alcohol containers and two for disorderly conduct, 1010 WINS reported.
