BELLMORE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — A tractor-trailer flipped over and burst into flames on Long Island late Tuesday, in an accident that may have caused property damage.

Around 11:12 p.m., the truck crashed off the Sunrise Highway, at Clinton Street and Newbridge Road in Bellmore, Nassau County police told CBS 2.

The fuel truck was turned on its side when it exploded and caught fire, police said.

Police believed there was property damage in the area as a result of the flames, but had not confirmed the information as of late Tuesday night.

It was not known late Tuesday if anyone had been injured.
