Crane Topples Onto Its Side In Mineola

MINEOLA, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - Emergency responders are on the scene of a crane that toppled onto its side.

The incident took place near Mineola Boulevard and First Street.

No injuries have been reported.

All lanes are closed on Mineola Boulevard from Harrison Avenu to 2nd Street due to the accident, Nassau County Police said.

The incident took place around 12:40 p.m. Wednesday.

Images from the scene show the crane suspended at a 45 degree angle at a construction site. The driver's side wheels of the crane are in the air. The crane appears to have slipped or toppled from its support bed. The boom of the crane is elevated and appears to be extending to at least three stories high.
