Man Charged In Deadly Harlem Stabbing
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police arrested a suspect Wednesday after a man was stabbed to death in broad daylight in Harlem.
Shortly after 9 a.m. Wednesday, police found Ashford Geddes, 68, lying with numerous stab wounds at 560 Lenox Ave.
Geddes, of Harlem, was taken to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Waldean Elliot, a 32-year-old homeless man, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon, police announced Wednesday night.
A New York Post report identified Elliot as Geddes' stepson. Police allegedly found him standing over his stepfather's body, and caught up to him when he ran, the paper reported.
