Fairfield Man Accused Of Extorting Models For Sex

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A Rocky Hill man set up an extortion scheme with a phony talent agency to solicit revealing photos, money and sex from nearly 40 women seeking modeling jobs, police said.

An arrest warrant accuses Anand Amin of telling women that unless they paid him and agreed to sexual favors, he would make public nude or semi-nude photos they submitted with applications for the nonexistent modeling jobs through the Gucci Top Modeling company.

Police said Friday the 24-year-old Amin succeeded in duping at least two women into sending nude or semi-nude photos of themselves by posing as a female agent for the fictitious agency.

Amin was held in lieu of $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Jan. 30 in state Superior Court in Bridgeport. It was not known if he's represented by a lawyer.
