Report: Melo Drops F-Bomb On Heckler During Knicks Loss

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- It seems Carmelo Anthony's frustrations are starting to boil over.

Anthony told a heckler to "Go f--- yourself" as the Knicks were limping toward the finish of Wednesday's 110-106 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, according to the New York Post.

"Nice defense, Melo," the fan told Anthony to set him off, according to the Post.

The Sixers handed the reeling Knicks their fifth straight loss on Wednesday. New York dropped to 15-27, one season after losing a total of just 28 games.

The Knicks are 0-3 on their eight-game homestand and 7-15 overall at Madison Square Garden.

"I really don't know what it is, why we can't play well on our own home court," Anthony said. "This should be the time where we gain some momentum, gain some confidence as a team playing here on our own home court, but that don't seem like it's the case right now."

Anthony, who plans to opt out of his contract this offseason, is sounding more exasperated with each loss. Center Tyson Chandler has even openly questioned the defensive schemes of coach Mike Woodson.

According to the Post, a fan wrote on Twitter after Wednesday's loss: "Carmelo told me to F off. Huge Philly fan and I got in his head."

The tweet seems to have been deleted.
