Mobile Couch: Football Frenzy At Liberty Science Center

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (WLNY) -- Super Bowl mania has hit the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City.

"Gridiron Glory: The Best of the Pro Football Hall of Fame" combines sports, history, and culture into an exciting, interactive exhibition, according to the center's website.

The exhibit features one of the official the Vince Lombardi trophies, over 200 artifacts including the 1917 game ball used by Jim Thorpe and several interactive elements.

"We like to be interactive with our guests and have really immersive experiences," the center's Stuart Neal told WLNY's Alex Denis. "One thing we brought along with the gridiron exhibit is the NFL training camp. We have an NFL simulation where they're actually kicking a field goal. It gives them that experience of being in a full stadium when they're really just in a 10-foot box."

Visitors can also throw a football like a quarterback and test their abilities.

"I think it's a great opportunity because you get to see the younger kids come in and learn about the NFL and learn about the players," Neal said.
