Police Seek 2 In Connection With Staten Island Burglary

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- The New York Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying two suspects wanted in connection with a burglary in Staten Island.

According to authorities, on Jan. 18 at around 10 p.m. the two suspects entered Morty's Deli at 19 Fort Pl. through the rear window and stole $3,300 worth of cigarettes, $1,000 worth of scratch off tickets, $300 worth of cigars, $200 worth of rolled cigars and $300 in cash.

There were no reported injuries during the incident.

Police describe the first suspect as either Hispanic or black male, last seen wearing a black hat with a white symbol on the front, and a brown winter jacket.

The second suspect is described by police as either Hispanic or black male, with a thin build, and last seen wearing a baseball hat, a diamond earring in his right ear, and a down winter jacket.

Police released a photo of one of the suspects Wednesday. They say he was seen redeeming stolen lottery tickets at 4185 White Plains Rd. in the Bronx.
