FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – It appears New Yorkers prefer Denver over Seattle in the Super Bowl.

As WCBS 880 Long Island Bureau Chief Mike Xirinachs reported, based on the sale of Broncos and Seahawks gear at the Modell’s in Farmingdale, it seems Long Islanders are behind Denver.

It may have to do with a star player’s connection to the area.

“I think it has to do with the Manning brothers,” store manager Shawn Muller told Xirinachs.

EXTRAGuide To Super Bowl XLVIII

Denver quarterback Peyton Manning is Giants QB Eli Manning’s big brother.

The Denver Broncos will take on the Seattle Seahawks from MetLife Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:25 p.m. on Sunday.
