Accident Leaves Propane Truck Disabled, Causing Evacuations In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A tractor trailer carrying 11,000 gallons of propane got into an accident in the Bronx Wednesday afternoon.

The incident took place at around 12:40 p.m. near Boston Road and Conner Street. Click here to check current traffic conditions.

Another tanker is being brought to the scene to offload the propane, the FDNY said. During the transfer of the propane, the immediate area will be evacuated, the FDNY said.

Officials said the transfer will be a “prolonged operation.”
