After discussing Sunday's Daytona 500 -- which featured a lengthy delay before Dale Earnhardt Jr. captured his second career victory at the historic race track -- Jerry Recco got his update started with an historic moment which took place in Los Angeles Sunday night when Jason Collins, who signed a 10-day contract with Brooklyn, made his highly anticipated return to the NBA.

Collins' return made him the first openly gay athlete to compete in any of the four major sports (NBA, NFL, MLB & NHL).  A footnote to the story if you will, the Nets beat the Lakers 108-102 and will take on the Trail Blazers in Portland Wednesday night.
