NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – The back wheel of a school bus was swallowed up Tuesday morning by a sinkhole in Washington Heights.

It happened around 8 a.m. Tuesday on West 164th Street and Broadway.

Video from the scene shows the left rear tire of the bus sunken into the street. The back of the bus also appeared to be level with the pavement.

There were kids on the bus at the time. No word on any injuries. A second bus came and picked them up after the incident.

It’s still unclear what caused the sinkhole.
