NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — This pretty much sums up the Knicks’ season, doesn’t it?
When the children in the stands can’t even wrap their heads around the product on the floor, you know it’s officially hit rock bottom.
New York lost its seventh consecutive game on Monday night, blowing a lead and ultimately falling to the 24-36 Pistons by 11 points.
One Knicks fan in Auburn Hills couldn’t bear to watch his team let yet another game get away, so he understandably showed his frustration. The MSG cameras just so happened to catch the youngster’s reaction.
New York has now lost 13 of 15 in its nightmarish season. The ‘Bockers find themselves 19 games under .500 — at 21-40 — and with just 21 games remaining in the regular season, it’s hard to imagine this team finding its way into the playoffs despite playing in the terrible Eastern Conference.
The Knicks are 6 1/2 games behind the Hawks for the eighth and final playoff spot in the conference. The division is virtually a lost cause, with New York sitting 13 games behind the first-place Raptors.
