Facebook Voters Name Six Flags Lion Cubs

JACKSON, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Three African lion cubs at Six Flags Great Adventure and Safari now have names thanks to social media.

The amusement park has announced fans on Facebook voted for the African names Kanu, meaning "wildcat," Kondo, meaning "warrior," and Kume, meaning "strong."

Six Flags said Thursday that nearly 4,000 fans took part in the multiple-choice voting.

The park, located in Jackson, said its animal care team has become surrogate mother to the cubs due to medical distress and lack of care by their mothers.
