NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A man in his 40s was gunned down inside a Bronx apartment early Sunday morning, police said.
As 1010 WINS’ Glenn Schuck reported, the man was fatally shot in the head around 4:30 a.m. inside one of the units at 355 E. 187th St. Police were still on the scene several hours later looking for clues and talking to witnesses.
Witnesses told Schuck another person was injured, possibly with a stab wound.
Neighbors who live across the street said there is constantly trouble at the apartment complex in the Fordham section of the Bronx.
“That building has a bad reputation,” one man said. “I don’t know why, but I know that basically … I see always the police there. Always, all the time. I think police has to put cameras there,” one man said. “That building is beyond control. There’s no control there.”
“You hear about something like this, but it’s unbelieveable,” another man said. “Who knows what’s going on, but it’s always something happening.”
Police have not released the name of the victim, and no arrest has been made.
