NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police have released a photo of a man who they said shot four boys in Brooklyn last Friday.

The shooting happened just after 7:30 p.m. at South 2nd Street near Roebling Street on the south side of Williamsburg, police said.

Two of the victims were 14 years old, one of them 17, and one just 12, police said.

The boys were each shot in the leg, police said. They were listed in stable condition at area hospitals.

Police have only a vague description of the suspect, who was last seen running southbound on Havermeyer Street. They said the suspect is a black man, approximately 20 years old, wearing an orange or red sweater.

Police said the shooting was gang-related, 1010 WINS' Gary Baumgarten reported.
