Video: Steve Buscemi Trains Bill de Blasio Ahead Of ‘Inner Circle’ Show
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Mayor Bill de Blasio is poking some fun at himself and his detractors in a new video ahead of this year’s Inner Circle show.
The video starts with de Blasio, wearing a track suit and headband, appearing flummoxed by his attempt to do “jazz hands.”
Buscemi shows up – wearing a matching outfit – telling the mayor he’s in “crisis mode” over the upcoming show.
“Who do you think got Dinkins to sing? Who do you think got Bloomberg to dance? Who do you think put Rudy in that dress?” says Buscemi.
The antics get sillier from there.

The Inner Circle is an organization of political journalists who put on a comedy show skewering elected officials. At the end of the show, the mayor typically offers a rebuttal. The organization raises money for a number of local charities.
This year’s performance takes place on March 22. You can order tickets here.
