NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A crowd of 7,000 people flocked to the Barclays Center Thursday evening for a sneak preview of the fourth season of “Game of Thrones.”
As 1010 WINS’ Gary Baumgarten reported, the fourth season of the HBO series actually begins April 6. But the crowd paid $15 per person to join fellow aficionados to watch it on the big screen at the Barclays Center.
“It’s the greatest show,” one man said. “It’s good storytelling, and it’s a really, just, entertaining show.”
A woman named Marla said much as she loves the show – and stood in line and paid to watch the sneak preview – the books it is based on are even better.
The fantasy drama “Game of Thrones” series was created by writers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. It was based on author George R.R. Martin’s series of fantasy novels, “A Song of Ice and Fire.”
