NY Sisters Deliver Babies Hours Apart At Same LI Hospital

OCEANSIDE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) - Two New York sisters who grew up doing everything together have given birth at the same hospital, on the same day.

According to Newsday, 29-year-old Michelle Clarke delivered daughter Savannah at about 1:30 p.m. Friday, just two hours after younger sister Christina Santos-Santiago delivered little Nicolas.

The newspaper said doctors at the South Nassau Communities Hospital put the tight-knit siblings in neighboring hospital rooms.

Both moms delivered via C-section. They also share a doctor.

Santos-Santiago lives in Far Rockaway. Clarke lives in East Meadow.

Both women have older children. They were not born on the same day.
