Police Search For 2 Suspects In Brooklyn Apartment Robbery

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A Brooklyn resident was robbed by an acquaintance and another man inside his home early Thursday morning, police said.

The 49-year-old male victim said he was inside his East New York apartment just after 1 a.m. with one of the suspects, whom he only knew by the name "Eric." When the victim went to the bathroom, "Eric" let another man inside the home, police said. "Eric" then ordered the victim to lie on the floor facedown and handcuffed him while the other suspect stole money, credit cards and a phone, cops said.

The victim was not injured.

Police have released surveillance video of "Eric" allegedly using the victim's ATM card.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-8477 or to submit a tip online at NYPDCrimeStoppers.com. All communications are kept confidential.
