Police Seek Robber Who Struck In Public Housing Buildings In Canarsie

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Monday were asking the public to help them find a suspect wanted in a string of three robberies in public housing buildings in Canarsie, Brooklyn.

The robberies happened between Feb. 10 and March 13 in the Bayview Houses public housing development.

In the first incident, around 4 p.m. Feb. 10, the man came up to a 17-year-old boy inside the Bayview Houses building at 5945 Shore Pkwy. The suspect pulled a gun on the boy and demanded property, which the victim handed over, police said.

The second incident happened around 6:40 p.m. March 10, in a building at 9910 Seaview Ave. in the same development. The suspect pulled a gun on a 15-year-old boy and demanded property, which the boy handed over, police said.

The last incident happened around 5:30 p.m. March 13, again in the Seaview Avenue building. The man pulled a knife on a 17-year-old boy and demanded property, and the victim complied, police said.

Police have released a surveillance photo of the suspect.
