Weekend Of Traffic Headaches Awaits Drivers Traveling Through New Jersey

JERSEY CITY, N.J.(CBSNewYork) -- Drivers traveling through New Jersey should prepare for a weekend of traffic headaches.

Construction crews are scrambling to repave the lower portion of Route 139 ahead of work on the Pulaski Skyway that is set to begin later this month, CBS 2 reported.

Route 139 will serve as an alternate route when lanes on the skyway close on April 12, for a two year renovation project.

Eastbound lanes on Rt. 139 were shut down until 7 a.m. on Saturday and will be closed again from midnight until 8 a.m. on Sunday.
