NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) — It has been nearly a year since one of America’s biggest sporting events was brought to a halt.
Explosions killed three people and injured hundreds more, near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.
Security at this year’s event will be tighter than ever, but that isn’t stopping runners from returning to the race that they love.
One of the runners gearing up for Boston is Larry Grogin. Before Grogin makes it to the marathon starting line, he has hundreds of miles planned.
On Saturday, Grogin sat down with CBS 2’s Andrea Grymes to discuss his mission to transform the lives of children. To view the full interview, check out the video above.
