This action-packed Friday edition of the Boomer & Carton Morning Extravaganza got started with a delighted Blonde Bomber after his beloved Blueshirts took a 1-0 series lead with a 4-1 win over the Flyers Thursday night at MSG.

Needless to say the Booms was there, so he offered a recap of the action, but was sure to curb his own enthusiasm a bit, not wanting to provide any sort of jinx. Hockey fans are a strange bunch.

From there it was on to the Yankees, who have now won five in a row thanks to a 10-2 victory over the Rays behind CC Sabathia and a Bombers defense that turned a triple play — exciting stuff.

Rounding things out, Carmelo Anthony addressed the assembled media yesterday for his end of the year exit interview and was refreshingly candid about his basketball future…
