Jerry Recco's first update of the week was a good one, thanks in large part to an on-air revelation courtesy of the radio team of John Sterling and Suzyn Waldman as a home run call was cleared up during Sunday's 12-inning Bombers victory over the Rays down in Tampa, halting their two-game slide and earning them a series split.
As for the Mets, they put an end to a two-game slide of their own with a 4-3 win over the Braves that took 14 innings to decide. Despite going 0-6 and seeing his average drop to .127, Curtis Granderson was hailed as a hero after his game-winning sacrifice fly secured the Mets ninth win of the season.
Plus, the Red Sox and Orioles will square off at Fenway Park at 11 a.m., a traditional Patriots Day start time, the Flyers beat the Rangers 4-2 to even up their series at one game apiece, an NFL scoreboard, Raptors GM Masai Ujiri gets a little carried away during a pep rally, an NBA scoreboard highlighted by LaMarcus Aldridge's 46 point-18 rebound effort in the Blazers 122-120 win over the Rockets...
