Police Seek Suspect In Connection With Series Of Grand Larcenies In Midtown, West Village

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD has asked the public for help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a series of Grand Larcenies that took place in Manhattan.

The first incident occurred on Friday, February 28, shortly before 9 p.m. The suspect entered a Chipotle restaurant on East 8th Street and removed a 24-year-old woman's wallet.

The most recent incident took place on April 14, at 5:40 p.m. The suspect entered the Pot Belly Deli on Park Ave and made off with a 22-year-old woman's backpack.

The suspect is believed to have struck seven times, snatching up unattended electronics, wallets, and bags in the West Village and lower portions of Midtown. He has been described as a black male, between the ages of 25 and 35, he is 5'9" to 6'0" tall, and wears a backpack, sunglasses, and a dark hoodie.
