Amtrak Train With Over 100 Passengers Gets Stuck In East River Tube

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A rescue train was dispatched Wednesday night, after an Amtrak train became stuck in the East River tube.

Amtrak 148 from D.C. to Springfield, Mass. was carrying 123 passengers when it got stuck, the FDNY told CBS 2.

The train had been stuck for hours, before a diesel locomotive finally towed the train out of the tunnel to Queens.

No injuries were reported.
