NEW YORK (WFAN) — Vin Scully is a legend. No two ways about it.
The 86-year-old, currently in his 65th year in the Dodgers broadcast booth, has an almost encyclopedic knowledge of baseball. He shared some of his memories with WFAN’s Mike Francesa on Wednesday.
Scully’s advice to young broadcasters: “First of all, I would say prepare, followed by prepare, followed by prepare.”
Verne Lundquist of CBS Sports will be presented with the Vin Scully Award for lifetime achievement on Thursday.
