NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — This one is bad.
The latest gaffe?
According to ESPN.com, an employee of the Mets accidentally emailed general manager Sandy Alderson’s credit card information to nearly all the media members who cover the club.
The security code and the expiration date of the card were included in the email.
The message was sent with the purpose of securing Broadway tickets for the weekend, the website reported.
A few minutes after the accidental message was sent, ESPN.com reported that a follow-up message was sent. It read, “Please disregard the previous email. Sorry for any confusion.”
