Robbers Tear Hole In Roof Of Queens Deli

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - These thieves give new meaning to take out.

When employees entered the Quick Stop Deli & Grill on Hillside Avenue Monday, they found a hole in the roof of their building.

Burglars used the roof to get inside the store, police said.

They then pried open the ATM and stole more than $3,400, according to police.

Workers were stuck cleaning up the damage.

"I came in, I found there's a hole in the roof and the ATM machine is broken," said employee Yifeng Xiong. "I guess somebody came in and took the money from the ATM."

Surveillance cameras in the store were not working at the time of the robbery, CBS 2 reported.
