Cops Hunt For Queens Slashing Suspect Known As 'Slime'

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The NYPD wants your help finding a slashing suspect who goes by the nickname "Slime."

Police said the slashing took place early Sunday morning in Ozone Park.

The victim was approached by a group of men on 101st Avenue who began punching and kicking him, police said.

The victim knew at least one of his attackers, who allegedly pulled out a sharp object and slashed him repeatedly in the face, neck, back and hand.

The victim was rushed to the hospital and is in stable condition.

Police said one of the suspects is "Timmy" but is also known by the nickname "Slime."

They released surveillance video of Slime, along with another of the suspects they are seeking.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
