NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) — A hospital employee has been charged with identity theft. The woman was allegedly targeting weak and vulnerable patients who had been left in her care.
Latoya Talbert, 24, has been accused of stealing the identities so she could go shopping. Talbert was arraigned in Nassau County for her alleged involvement in an identity theft ring that began in 2011.
The district attorney said that Talbert stole the identities of North Shore Hospital patients and opened credit cards at stores like Bloomingdale’s, Target, and Macy’s.
