Police Arrest Suspect After Alleged iPhone Thieves Send Selfie To Victim’s Mom

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police have arrested one of two suspects who allegedly stole an iPhone from a Hell’s Kitchen venue, and sent a photo of themselves to the victim’s mother.

Fethi Nekrouf, 18, of Brooklyn, was charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property, police said.

Around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17, the suspects took an iPhone from someone at 605 W. 48th St., police said. The Stage 48 nightclub and music venue is located at the address.

The suspects then sent a dual selfie to the victim’s mother, police said.

Police said Nekrouf appears in the photo, but were not sure which one he was.

Another suspect was still being sought Monday morning.
