Boomer & Carton: Jerry’s Update; Craig Stands Up For John Amirante
Jerry Recco’s first update of the morning started with an out of town hockey game, won by the LA Kings, who will now take on Boomer’s beloved Rangers in the Stanley Cup Final after beating the Blackhawks 5-4 in OT.
Boomer now has to decide which Kings player he will ‘freeze out’ for the finals.
Plus, David Robertson blows it for the Yanks who fell 7-2 to the Twins; the Mets beat the Phillies 4-2 in extra-innings thanks in large part to a pinch-hit two-run home run courtesy of Lucas Duda; after his Thunder were ousted by the Spurs Derek Fisher is still uncertain about his future; Patrick Ewing makes it clear that he would like to coach the Knicks; and Craig talks about Mark Jackson’s religious beliefs with regards to him getting another coaching gig in the NBA.
This update will likely be remembered for Craig sounding off on New York Post columnist Phil Mushnick, after he took a shot at Rangers national anthem singer John Amirante (pictured doing his thing)…
