Counting Down: The Top 10 Head-Coach Rants Of All Time
By Daniel Friedman

Be honest. If it's not someone you love who's involved, you probably find other people throwing tantrums downright hysterical. Especially when those people are sports figures.
If you're looking for your fix, you've come to the right place. Here are my top 10 rants by head coaches.
10. Mike Singletary
Remember Danny Glover's character from "Angels in the Outfield"? Apparently he broke into the NFL as a coach, too.
9. Mike Gundy (2007)
Mike Gundy tells everyone how old he is, among other things.
8. Avery Johnson, 2006 NBA Finals
"Normally, you guys ask the questions and I answer them. But I figured we might as well mix things up a little."
7. Mike Ditka
You watch this and you just wish that Ditka coached that Mark Sanchez/Tim Tebow Jets team. You'd get to see a repeat of this in HD.
6. Herm Edwards (2002)
The Jets' head coach politely tries to explain the purpose of football.
5. Jim Mora -- Playoffs
Who the hell asks the coach about playoffs when his team is 2-6? Some reporter in Indianapolis, apparently. Good thing he did, because Jim Mora's response was priceless.
4. John Tortorella
NOTE: The video above contains inappropriate language
The former Rangers head coach might hate press conferences as much as many sports fans hate A-Rod, but that never stopped him from speaking his mind.
He did it again.
And again.
And again (from 8:54 to 9:30).
3. Dennis Green
Wait, who are they?
2. Hal McRae
I can't help but think he's going about cleaning off his desk the wrong way.
1. SIU Coach Barry Hinson
He's very proud of his wife ... and very pissed off at his players. Barry Hinson's rant is my favorite of all time. That is, until the next great one.
