Fisherman Finds Man’s Body Floating In Ambrose Channel

SANDY HOOK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — A fisherman made a gruesome discovery in waters off Sandy Hook, New Jersey.

A man’s body was found floating in the Ambrose Channel Monday morning.

The fisherman secured the body with a rope and called the Coast Guard.

The Coast Guard said the body doesn’t correspond to any search operation, and there have been no reports of boating accidents.

The Ambrose Channel is the main shipping channel for the Port of New York and New Jersey.
